06/07/2021

Technology as a driver of the 21st century and hands-on, participatory IT so that we can always be “one step ahead” when advising our clients – this is the motto behind the newly founded attempto Lab. Alexander Bloß takes over as head of the Lab, returning to attempto after 2.5 years of intensive work as CTO at an IT service provider and consulting company. During that time, he immersed himself deeply in Kubernetes, DevOps, and the cloud-native ecosystem and now brings his expertise to attempto. With the founding of the Lab, attempto is taking a strategically important step, further expanding its innovation culture, and creating new opportunities for employee development.

The professional development of employees, company growth, and engagement with innovative topics are an important part of attempto’s corporate strategy. To this end, the attempto Innovations-Manufaktur was established. It is a unique platform designed to foster attempto’s capacity for innovation, provide new impulses, and offer employees the opportunity to expand their skills through internal projects.

The attempto Innovations-Manufaktur is now being expanded with the attempto Lab. Alexander Bloß’s role will be to explore and prepare new technologies through continuous trend scouting, develop concepts for practical applicability, and further develop attempto employees through his expert knowledge. Additionally, he will increase visibility through specialized publications.

Alexander Bloß spent the last 2.5 years working intensively with Kubernetes, DevOps, and the cloud-native ecosystem. During this time, he and a cross-functional team designed and built a successful Kubernetes as a Service platform on bare metal for a major German financial IT service provider and data center operator. The agile team created a platform using DevOps culture, Kubernetes, a state-of-the-art cloud infrastructure concept, maximum automation, and a cloud-native architecture that enables customers to provision Kubernetes clusters and additional services via API in a self-service manner within minutes. The service has been in production since late 2020, and currently over 100 Kubernetes clusters at three locations along with numerous managed services are being provided to customers. In his new role at attempto, he will continue to follow his passion for new technologies and work at the forefront of the latest trends.

The entire attempto team is delighted to welcome Alexander Bloß back and extends a very warm welcome. With him as head of the attempto Lab, attempto will continue to move innovatively into the future and provide exciting impulses.
