Aschheim, April 30, 2021 – attempto, a consulting company specializing in software development, is celebrating its 15th company anniversary with a special initiative: a total of 1,800 trees will be planted in cooperation with Fairventures Worldwide in Indonesia, with employees receiving a share of the forest. With this step, attempto continues its tradition of collectively supporting innovative and responsible projects, allowing others to benefit from the company’s success.
attempto was founded on April 1, 2006. Today, the company has over 110 employees from 12 nations at 4 offices in 3 major cities. attempto has received more than 10 awards and distinctions. Since its founding, attempto has been a reliable partner to banks, insurance companies, industry, retail, and the public sector, developing complex IT solutions for demanding applications.
100 Million Trees for Borneo
In cooperation with Fairventures Worldwide, the 1,800 trees will be planted as part of the ‘100 Million Trees for Borneo’ project to reforest degraded land and support the local population. The project was named a winner of the Google.org Impact Challenge in 2018.
What makes this initiative special: current employees receive a share of the forest, gain access to a tree portfolio, and can not only watch the forest thrive in the future but also build on this foundation and donate additional trees.
From the very beginning, attempto has been an important supporter of the ‘100 Million Trees’ project by Fairventures Worldwide in Borneo. So far, 1 million seedlings have been distributed. The planted trees have grown rapidly and absorb significant amounts of CO2. Through its participation, attempto has not only been able to create economic opportunities for the local population in a short time – as they benefit from a secure income – but has also implemented an effective measure against global climate change and helped protect the rainforest.
