Munich/Oberhaching — Successful participation in innovation competition / Ranga Yogeshwar congratulates the company in June
For the sixth consecutive time, attempto has won the TOP 100 Award, which recognizes mid-market companies for their innovation qualities. The company excelled in size category B (51 to 200 employees) through its innovative corporate culture, flat hierarchies with dedicated areas of responsibility, strategic innovation management and trend scouting, as well as a particular focus on ecology.
The competition is based on a scientific selection process. Commissioned by compamedia, the organizer of the benchmarking program, innovation researcher Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke from the Vienna University of Economics and Business and his team evaluated attempto using more than 100 criteria across five categories: Innovation-Promoting Top Management, Innovation Climate, Innovative Processes and Organization, External Orientation/Open Innovation, and Innovation Success. Particularly important is whether a company’s innovations are merely a product of chance or are systematically planned and therefore repeatable in the future.
The company, headquartered in Oberhaching with additional offices in Karlsruhe and Munster, has been recognized as a mid-market Top Innovator for the sixth consecutive time. attempto has made a name for itself primarily as a partner for banks, insurance companies, industry, retail, and the public sector in implementing complex IT projects. The reasons for this include its innovative corporate culture, flat hierarchies with dedicated areas of responsibility, strategic innovation management and trend scouting, as well as a focus on sustainability that reconciles economics and ecology while shaping innovative processes in a timely manner. Also noteworthy are the attempto Lab and the attempto Academy, which observe and analyze current trends (ChatGPT, platform economy, digitalization, CO2 Coin, and more), enable continuous professional development for employees, and guarantee that the company stays at the cutting edge of technology. In this context, attempto was able to further establish its aim lecture series last year, in which distinguished figures from business and academia provide employees and external guests with insights into their respective fields of expertise. With the launch of Treeam, a project that attempto developed in cooperation with a partner NGO, the company fulfills its own aspiration of implementing economics and ecology at the highest IT level. Treeam enables users to calculate their own ecological footprint using a CO2 calculator and then offset it through a tree donation. For Berno Breitruck, Managing Director of attempto, the question “What matters tomorrow?” takes center stage: “Our corporate strategy places people and their talents at the heart of everything. This applies to the colleagues with whom we have the privilege of creating special moments and delivering projects. Together with our partners and clients, we develop interdisciplinary ecosystems and resilient business models.”
To ensure equal opportunities for all applicants, the TOP 100 seal is awarded in three size categories: up to 50, 51 to 200, and more than 200 employees. In its anniversary year — the current round marks the 30th edition of the innovation competition — interest was particularly high: 550 mid-market companies applied, 300 of which were successful and now bear the TOP 100 seal. A maximum of 100 companies per size category can be recognized.
“TOP 100 is about the question of what role the goal of innovation plays within a company,” says Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke, scientific director of the competition. “Do routines and habits dominate, or is the company able to question the status quo, think creatively and in new ways, and successfully assert itself in the market? We analyze this capability using more than 100 assessment criteria,” he explains.
On June 23, all Top Innovators of the 2023 class will come together in Augsburg for the award ceremony at the German Mid-Market Summit. There, science journalist Ranga Yogeshwar will personally congratulate them on their success at TOP 100.
