attempto Speakers Present at JBFOne 2015

24/11/2015

Representatives of the attempto management team are presenting at this year’s JBFOne, the IT congress of Fiducia & GAD IT AG, on November 24–25, 2015 at the Dolce conference hotel in Unterschleißheim near Munich.

Michael Malbrich, Commercial Director, is delivering the presentation: “Beyond Budgeting in a Nutshell”

The presentation “Beyond Budgeting in a Nutshell” describes the limitations of traditional management models and introduces Beyond Budgeting as a promising approach in dynamic, non-linear environments. It demonstrates that companies can be highly successful in the market even without detailed annual budget targets.

Alexander Bloß, Head of IT Architecture & Technology, is delivering the presentation: “Microservices: Small Services for Large Architectures”

The microservice architecture style is an approach to composing a large system from small, independent services, each running in its own process and communicating with one another through lightweight mechanisms. The services are structured around business functions. As a vertical slice through the architecture, they contain all required components from the GUI to their own data storage and can be deployed independently through automated provisioning processes.

The presentation explores what microservices are, the advantages of using microservices, and how to successfully build applications with them – but also the challenges that microservice architectures present and why they are not always the right choice.
