Medium-sized company impresses in innovation competition / Award ceremony with Christian Wulff to follow in June in Heidelberg
Munich/Oberhaching – For the ninth time in a row, attempto has been honoured with the TOP 100 Award. This prize is awarded to medium-sized companies for their outstanding innovative capabilities. attempto impressed in size category B (51 to 200 employees) with an excellent, scalable innovation system, close collaboration across all departments in the innovation process, and a consistent link between innovation and a values-driven culture with a focus on entrepreneurial, social, and ecological sustainability.
The TOP 100 Award is granted on the basis of a scientific selection process led by innovation researcher Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke. In detail, he and his team examine five categories: innovation-promoting top management, innovation climate, innovation processes and organization, external orientation/open innovation, and innovation success. These five categories are reflected in more than 100 evaluation criteria. The selection process is carried out by Franke on behalf of compamedia, the organiser of the competition. “At TOP 100, we thoroughly and comprehensively analyse how innovation-oriented the applicants are. Those who demonstrate outstanding performance are awarded the TOP 100 seal,” says Professor Franke.
For 20 years, attempto has been active in system-critical fields, implementing complex IT projects. The core portfolio of the management consultancy includes customised software development and IT consulting. Its expertise goes beyond purely technical consulting in the introduction, development, and maintenance of software and IT systems, and also covers implementation as well as the development and maintenance of software solutions.
Based on the conviction that the challenges of our time can only be addressed through technology, innovation has been deeply embedded in the company’s DNA since its foundation. In order to be a valuable partner for its customers, attempto continuously engages with the most important innovations, trends, and developments in the industry. Innovation is actively lived at attempto—across all hierarchical levels. The company therefore actively promotes innovative thinking within its corporate culture and institutionalises the idea of innovation in various business areas: the attempto Lab serves as the in-house institution for trend scouting and prototyping. The attempto Innovationsmanufaktur fosters exchange and cooperation with the company’s network. The attempto Academy consolidates training offerings to strategically support the development of relevant employee skills. In product development, attempto implements innovative ideas and has developed award-winning solutions. For example, the business model has been significantly advanced through the development of the tool “Profilery”. “Profilery” addresses the need for scalable and quickly adaptable systems and processes in market-driven environments and solves a widespread problem in the consulting industry: finding and offering precisely matching consultant profiles. Customers are always at the centre for attempto: Business Development supports the integration of market and customer perspectives into the innovation process through continuous market analysis and a deep understanding of customer needs.
Special thanks go to the employees who connect with the “attempto idea” every day, as well as to all partners who support attempto.
In its 20th anniversary year, the company is preparing its next steps under the motto “Next Generation & Next Level.” In April of this year, attempto founded attempto Schweiz AG to expand its core business—financial IT—internationally, working together with its Swiss cooperation partner northward. In addition, the company is building a cross-functional Business Consulting unit to advise clients on functional and strategic questions related to IT projects. “Our goal is growth across all areas of the company. At the same time, we want to preserve our culture, characterised by responsibility, trust, and partnership-based collaboration,” says CEO Franz Berno Breitruck.
To ensure equal opportunities for all participants, the TOP 100 seal is awarded in three size categories: up to 50, 51 to 200, and more than 200 employees. In the current 33rd round of TOP 100, 356 medium-sized companies applied for the seal, of which 282 were successful. A maximum of 100 companies per size category can be awarded.
The top innovators of the current year will meet on 26 June at the Heidelberg Congress Center for the German SME Summit. There, Christian Wulff will personally congratulate them on their success in the TOP 100 competition.
